Greater Burnet-Saxifrage-Pimpinella major– grows best in the semi-shade of hedgerows and woodland edges and can also be found on roadsides or in chalk or limestone grassland and sometimes on heavier soils such as clay. Greater Burnet Saxifrage is a tall growing species with large white or deep pink flowers that appear from June to September. Plants look best growing with wildflowers such as Red Campion, Teasel, Hedge Woundwort and Nettle leaved Bellflower.
