Hedge Bedstraw-galium mollugo– grows in sun or semi-shade and is quite adaptable to most soils. It can be grown successfully in meadow grass and also works well growing in hedgerows where plants attract a wide range of insect life such as Bees, Butterflies and Ladybirds. Hedge Bedstraw is rambling plant with dense clusters of small creamy-white flowers that appear in July and August. Plants look best growing with other wild flowers that bloom in mid-summer such as Field Scabious, Meadow Cranesbill, Tufted vetch, Meadow Vetchling and Black knapweed.

How to grow Hedge Bedstraw Seeds
Hedge Bedstraw seeds should be sown in spring or autumn, either outside, where they are to flower, or in seed trays and covered lightly with compost. Hedge Bedstraw seeds are usually easy to germinate and the seedlings, which are quick to develop, can be pricked out and grown on, for planting out later in the year.
